2019 has been real nice to us. We’ve had more bands than ever before, more sell out gigs and more chances to bring you the music you love. A big thank you to everyone who has paid us a visit this year, be it for a sell out gig, zine launch, club night or festival, we’re grateful we’ve been able to see so many of you in our independent venue.

Before the year is out, we have some stellar nights to look forward to. The ‘other’ family are coming to visit this Christmas with more than just presents. If you love your infectious blues music, wild Americana riffs and raucous rock and roll, be sure to hit up Swampmeat Family Band on Friday, December 20th

Clock off work early and hit up The Castle as Swampmeat Family Band debut their new single ‘A Present For Me’ – a rip roaring festive jam that is helping to raise money for the homeless over this festive season. Catch their last headline slot of the year, along with supports Robert Craig Oulton and The Temple St. Resistance for only a fiver, better than getting a Lynx Africa in your stocking…

Of you were at the last Sonic Gun Weekender, you’ll remember The Novus completely stealing the show, Kind of post punk, kind of garage, but all kinds of riotous. This collective has supported the likes of The Blinders, Only Sun, FEET and FLING, as well as selling out their own headline slots. Now, they’re fronting the This Feeling Big in 2020 gig, alongside Gazelle, Velvet Tides, BLVFF and Luna Rosa on Friday, January 24th.

Closing off the month we have VANT – back with a rescheduled date and whole new sound. You may remember VANT as its previous incarnation – a four piece who stormed the festive circuit in the 2010’s. Now a solo venture, VANT is back an armed with new album ‘Conceived in the Sky’, which will be well worth the wait. Catch him live on Saturday, January 25th, tickets for the rescheduled show are still valid.
