Unfortunately this event is now cancelled. Official statement:
As you may of seen Bill fractured his foot while on tour with The Vamps. Since being home he’s now had a further scan and been strongly advised to rest up and let his foot heal. With that said we’ve made a difficult decision to postpone our U.K. tour. We don’t really have an option as we want to ensure that Bill’s foot heals without further damage. We promise we’ll be back in the new year with new music and new dates.
All tickets will be refunded from point of purchase. See you soon – James, Martin, Bill, Steve x‘
Eliza and the Bear began as a hobby, a weekly meet-up of mates who loved making music, but initially for fun, perhaps why their songs are described as joyous and their lyrics life-affirming. It’s why their all-inclusive choruses demand to be sung back, why festival audiences adore them and why their singles have been synced everywhere from Sky Movies, a Masterchef final and the BBC’s Olympics coverage to a Bulmers advert. It’s why, whether you know it or not, you’ve heard their music.
Since 2012 their lives since have been a flurry of writing, recording, playing to ever increasing live audiences and releasing singles, EP’s and LP’s. Tracks including Light It Up’ and fan-favourite ‘Friends’ have become staples of a career that has spanned seven years. Their eponymously-titled, debut album was released in 2016 via Capitol with appearances on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge and a number of playlist singles highlights of the cycle along with major festival appearances and major support slots with Paramore and Awolnation along with a number of sell out national tour dates in their own right including London’s iconic KOKO.
The band’s recent follow-up LP Group Therapy preceded support slots with indie legends, The Kooks with their headline tour in 2019 their first major tour in two years alongside European dates with The Vamps. With new music imminent and existing anthems aplenty, it’s an exciting time to be following Eliza & The Bear.
