Robert Craig Oulton has perfectly captured the ever-popular, sunny and nostalgic bedroom indie pop that has flourished since the likes of Mac DeMarco and Willie J Healey have broke through to mainstream audiences. Mixing charming, uplifting chords with solos akin to the good old days of 60s rock and roll, Robert Craig Oulton’s small, but mighty song calibre is enough to lift anyone’s spirits.
The Temple St. Resistance are two brothers with roots that reach deep into the Birmingham music scene. They play UK urban country blues with a kick: affecting lyrics, twisted melodies, stomping grooves. Heavy like a feather and light as lead, they’ll lift you and lull you and leave you flat on your back, whiskey drenched, sweat soaked, your head reeling but your soul craving more.
