We’re gearing up for a jam packed June full to the brim with the freshest live music.
Kicking things off is a stunning acoustic tribute to Paul Heaton and The Beautiful South, Old Red Eyes on June 1st, before bourbon soaked gypsy-blues rockers The Urban Voodoo Machine return for round two at The Castle and Falcon on June 8th.
Sludge garage grunge trio Bloodhound are bound for Birmingham from Hull on June 9th, before electro pop genius’ Lycio are joined by Nath Brooks and Jessie Dipper on June 15th. Finally, the mystically marvellous L.A Witch bring their reverb drenched, sultry rock and roll on June 26th. Supported by Birmingham greats Lions of Dissent and Blue Tongues, as well as Bristolian power rock group on the rise Thyla.
Get ready for one big weekender of music…
Sonic. Gun. Weekender. These words are all you need to know about August 2018. Its three days of the biggest, best live bands from Birmingham and beyond – celebrating the birthday of a collective that have hosted some incredible gigs at The Castle and Falcon.
On Friday 18th August tropical indie revellers Riscas headline, followed by The Assist, Spilt Milk Society, Social State, Echo Beach and Candid. Saturday’s affair is led by the anthemic Ivory Wave, followed by Sugarthief, The Cosmics, Violet, Wolfgang Harte, The Novus, Karkosa and Sleepyheads.
Just added into the mix is a monumental closing line up for Sunday 19th August. History of Sex, Wood & Nails, P.E.T, Cave Girl, Bad Girlfriend, Good Water and The Surrenders will be here to represent the incredible talent of local music. Finally, the sleaze fuelled rock and roll and blues extraordinaire Harry Jordan (AKA Harry and the Howlers) will be closing the biggest weekender of music Birmingham has ever seen.
If that’s not enough to get you moving, Swim Deep and a secret special guest will be DJ’ing into the early hours, along with street food and cocktails for a birthday weekender like no other.
