POSTPONED: Y!KES + THE PAGANS SOH + VEDAWAVE
**This show has been postponed to Saturday 17th April 2021. All tickets remain valid. If you can’t make it to the new date, refunds are available at point of purchase**
Y!KES are a shambolic anti-pop quartet from Middle England. With bombastic drums, riffs bigger than elephants, scathing lyrics and vocals grittier than the gravel on Satan’s driveway, they are here for one objective – to write Mass!ve Tunes! Visually they are storytellers, their videos being part of the broader YCU. There you’ll find neon vampires, Terry the alien and the legendary Bear Frills, a 6ft Teddy Bear with human teeth. Y!KES exist to provoke thought in the mind, angst in the soul and fire in the heart.
Formed February 2019, the addition of the highly enigmatic frontman Oliver Long in the September saw the line up complete. Since then the band have gone on to release their highly well received debut EP ‘EP!C’ in Feb 2020, which spawned the singles ‘Hold On To Your Grudge’ and ‘Repeat The Objective’ alongside a blinding set at Hard Rock Hell and supports with Vukovi, Counterfeit & King Nun. On the 28th August, they are set to release their second EP ‘MASS!VE’. All music is written and produced by the band at Y!KES HQ.
Y!KES are Oli, Liam, TJ & Ford. They cordially invite you to the chaos.
The Pagans S.O.H are an exciting four piece, hailing from West Bromwich, England. With a unique sound that doesn’t follow any rules, they have created a genre all of their own. Already legendary for their energetic, live performances, The Pagans S.O.H are far more than a band, they are a whole experience.
vedawave (fka VEDA) is cyberspace’s very own lo-fi prince of darkness. The goth/postpunk project was created by Birmingham, UK based multi-instrumentalist Dominiq Antonio. vedawave’s sound and identity has evolved over the years with each release creating its own unique saga, showcased live across the UK and Europe. The project was born with the lo-fi atmospheric waves of 2017’s debut EP Soir, followed by the pastel drenched emo of 2019’s Sweetheart EP, which was vedawave’s first release on California based label Birthdiy.
Debut album Leave It All Behind was released in 2020 via Birthdiy. It shifted the project into new tenebrous depths, featuring dark melodic paths, vampire inspired lyricism and soaring guitar leads. It serves as the gateway into heavier gothic themes paired with ambitious instrumental work, leaving behind the shimmering lo-fi pop of the past and entering the fourth evolution of vedawave.
