Statement as of 17th March, 2020.

To all our customers,

The next few weeks, even months, are going to be incredibly difficult for the hospitality and live music industry. The news is ever changing, and safety of all is our top priority.

As you may have seen we have had several gigs cancel or postpone due to the virus. We want you to know that this is not an easy decision for anyone to make, we’re working hard with promoters and artists to obtain new dates later in the year, or refunds where necessary.

We are of course disheartened to see the government advice to stay away from bars, pubs, restaurants and theatres. The government has not been clear with their stance, and has also left us unsure on support or protection for small, independent businesses such as ours. Without an official ban businesses cannot claim on insurance, and we will see a lot of independent businesses suffer and perhaps even close during this time.

The Castle and Falcon will take every precaution to ensure safety and hygiene is paramount. Until told otherwise, we will remain open for our weekend club nights and any live music events which have not been cancelled or rescheduled. We will increase our cleaning schedule and brief staff on safety procedures to ensure we do our bit. Please assume that upcoming gigs are going ahead until any information decides otherwise. If you are currently waiting for a refund for a cancelled gig, please contact your point of purchase.

HOW YOU CAN HELP even if you are self isolating:
