Tasting Notes feat. Melts The Band, When Tigers Used To Smoke & Thea Watson

Tasting Notes is a Birmingham based six-piece band with influences ranging from hip-hop to jazz fusion and funk. They formed officially in early 2021 but had already been playing and jamming together since starting university in 2019. Their music combines chill grooves, improvisation and big (but tasteful) horn lines.

Melts The Band– based in Selly Oak, Birmingham, melts the band are an acid brass/jazz fusion group that blend together a range of influences to create an electrifying sound that will make you move. With groovy tuba basslines and strong brass and sax melodies, they totally transform the sonic soundscape of your expectations. The band use their range of classical and popular training to create new sounds and experiences. They’re definitely going to break any expectations.

When Tigers Used To Smoke tie together a  psychedelic vision with a relaxed atmosphere to create a blend of sounds that result in positivity and joyful illustration through the bands dense and comforting textures. 

Thea Watson: Hey, my name is Thea, I am a singer currently studying at BIMM Birmingham. I love to sing Motown, 60s,70s,80s and 90s music. I have been singing and gigging for about 4 years and am so excited for my second gig in Birmingham.
